Inhuman

„Aus der Perspektive des Jetzt erscheint uns die Zukunft der Menschheit monströs... aber das muss nicht unbedingt etwas Negatives bedeuten.“ Julieta Aranda

Das Bild vom Menschen hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten stark gewandelt. Technologische Neuerungen, sozioökonomische Veränderungen und neurowissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse zwingen uns, die Konstruktion des Humanen zu überdenken und ermöglichen es, sie in Form des Inhumanen neu zu denken.
Die Künstler der Ausstellung „Inhuman“ reflektieren den Menschen als ökonomisch und sozial dressierten wie widerständigen Körper, jenseits biologisch oder gesellschaftlich bestimmter Geschlechtlichkeit, als digital unsterblich oder als stetig im Werden begriffenes Selbst. Sie machen die Konstruktionen des Humanen sichtbar und verrücken bestehende Perspektiven auf die menschliche Subjektivität wie auf den Körper. Das Primat des Menschen wird dabei grundsätzlich in Frage gestellt.
